Group Branding Session: Rendezvous Creative

Rendezvous Creative

Nicole Yang, Latasha Doyle, and Megan Dowd combined their talents and skills to create a one stop shop for all of your small business needs.

Meet the women of Rendezvous Creative: brand designer Nicole Yang, content strategist Latasha Doyle, and coach Megan Dowd! Rendezvous Creative is a one-stop shop for brand strategy, coaching, and execution that aims to eliminate the stress and mismatched contractor drama.

Nicole is a brand designer with a degree in graphic design in journalism. She’s a Certified Brand Specialist, a speaker and educator, and she has 12 years of experience with design. Latasha is the owner of Uncanny Content. For the last 8 years, she’s worked with a wide range of brands to help them find their voice and create plans to share it. Megan is a coach and strategist who works with business owners to ensure their mission, vision, and values are infused into everything their brand does.

Instead of offering branding alone, Rendezvous Creative offers the whole shebang. They take clients through the development and delivery of creating a brand, start to finish, to create something that lasts. That also means they cover the root of the brand (mission, vision, values), as well as offers, marketing strategy, and more.

Nicole, Latasha, and Megan have known each other for years - worked with each other, referred to each other - and in that time they saw just how much time and money is spent by small businesses trying to get all the moving pieces of their brand to match the vision they have in their head. It's a ton of work!

They wanted to make the process easier and more streamlined, for both the client and themselves. In many ways, they all have the same end goal in our respective businesses: to help woman-owned small businesses serve their communities with verve and vigor. They each do it in a different way, but ultimately this is what they want to see in the world. *cue Captain Planet* And with their powers combined, they can make that brand so much more effective. This leaves the business owner to do their thing (and do it oh so well) and keep everything running smoothly. Instead of coming in as the fixers - the people you contact when something isn't quite right and you're not sure why, they created Rendezvous to make sure there wouldn't be a need for a fixer down the road. No part of the branding and development is siloed, meaning clients will never have to worry about cohesion, from visuals to copy to service suite.

Rendezvous Creative is a brand new business, and even though each of them came into the partnership with their own images, they really needed something cohesive and on-brand. Their biggest priority was finding a photographer who embraced color and movement in a studio setting and Jessica was a great fit.

Here’s what they had to say about their experience with JMP:

“We had SO MUCH fun! Many of us don't love the process of getting photos taken, but we had great chemistry with Jessica right away. She was completely willing to let us be ourselves (and somehow captured our laughter, awkward dancing, and dirty jokes in flattering stills), instead of posing us into tired seen-before shots. After the shoot ended, we were just incredibly grateful that she made a long shoot day so positive.”
