I’m sure you hear photographers say all the time, ” I love my job!”, and it’s so true, I do love that I have the privilege to capture memories for couples that literally last a lifetime. Moments that only happen once, a look, a smile and emotion you can’t fake. I love that, but what I love even more is when I meet a couple that has a desire to do more than just throw a huge party on their wedding day, but they desire to give back and leave a lasting impact with their big day. I enjoy educating and aiding my couples in ways they can give back, whether that’s with a small gesture, a gift or even just the vendors they choose. When I met Danielle Loeffler from Catalyst Events there was an instant connection not just as friends, but as dreamers and visionaries who desire to see a movement in weddings. We wanted to create fun, beautiful, stylish and simple ways for couples to give back on their wedding day. So the idea was set into motion and I am pleased to share with you the first of many Philanthropic Styled Shoots, this one is featuring Soles4Souls and a list of other wonderful wedding professionals that love helping their brides give back as well :)

The overall vision of having a wedding that gives back is to create a picture, experience and event that makes a difference. To make an impact, there doesn’t have to be a cut in the budget or a shift in vision. Instead, we are able to celebrate with the vision and budget, just at a different level. By thinking outside the box and incorporating some creative steps, you are able to make a difference on any level. So, please enjoy the first of 5 philanthropic styled shoots to come from now throughout 2013! I hope you are inspired to give back on your big day!

For Charity & Jordan’s wedding we went with the Soles4Souls organization and had their invitations designed with a note to their guests
