I am a Nashville, Tennessee based photographer specializing in wedding and portrait photography and am privileged to document countless weddings and stories worldwide.  Originally founded in 2008 as Jessica Rai Photography I made the switch the Jessica McIntosh Photography to proudly boast my married last name. I graduated from Nossi College of Art with a degree in Commercial and Digital Photography and hit the ground running by pursuing hands-on education from other professionals and gaining industry knowledge. My career has been blessed by many and I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help and endless encouragement from my family, friends, clients and colleagues.  I deeply care about the marriage and well being of each of my clients and truly believe that those authentic relationships have been the driving force behind my business.

My enthusiasm for photography began as a child; my mom documented my life and every milestone no matter how big or small. We have albums full of my childhood, everything from naps on my father’s chest as an infant to 5th grade talent shows and embarrassing moments of me as a Spice Girl. As a teenager I entered the world of modeling and loved every minute, the fashion, hair, make-up and awesome locations were enough to put any teenage girl in a tizzy. It didn’t take long for me to start asking photographers questions like, how did you make me look like that? And what does that light do? I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by amazing photographers that were willing to teach me, show me light and even trust me with their very expensive camera so I could experiment with ISO, shutter speed and aperture. I had caught the bug, I was never much of an artist, but with a camera in my hand I could freeze time and see light in a whole new way. Photography moved from an artistic expression to a deep desire to remember my past when I was 15. My father unexpectedly passed away from a massive heart attack, suddenly the mounds of photo albums were no longer just snapshots they were a necessity in remembering my history and preserving memories. Since then documenting lives has become my passion.  I am able to marry the artistic style and beauty that originally made me fall in love with photography to my newly found desire of preserving memories through photographing lives and stories like yours.
